Story
Hi everyone,
This year I have decided to help make a difference by creating my very own fundraising appeal for charity. I will be participating in Stadium Stomp 2018 this winter and will be climbing thousands of stairs within the SCG for my chosen charity. So why have I chosen the Australian Cancer Research Foundation?
- An estimated 134,000 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Australia this year, with that number set to rise to 150,000 by 2020.
- 1 in 2 Australian men and women will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85.
- Cancer is a leading cause of death in Australia – more than 44,000 people died from cancer in 2014. In 2014, cancer was the second most common cause of death in Australia and accounted for about 3 in 10 deaths.
I would love it if you can help support my goal by making a donation, big or small so that we can help kick Cancer's Ass!

Thanks so much for your support!

Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF)
At Australian Cancer Research Foundation, we know that only brilliant ideas can tackle something as big as cancer. That is why since 1984, we have given scientists the technology, equipment and infrastructure they need for pioneering research.
From small vaccines to big machines our funding has supported some of the biggest outcomes in cancer research, across Australia. ACRF supporters have backed landmark projects such as; the development of the world’s first cancer vaccine (for cervical cancer), the establishment of a precision medicine program working towards the goal of zero deaths from childhood cancer and the creation of the innovative MRI-Linac which will improve patient outcomes and reduce the trauma associated with radiation therapy.
By funding research that seeks to progress and transform the way we prevent, detect and treat ALL cancers, we are committed to our vision of one day reaching a world without cancer.
